Original Song by Spike the Media - "Vortex"

This is "Vortex", a Punk-Rock song by the band I am in called Spike the Media. This song is off of our debut record, "Fractured Perspective".

The song, which I wrote the lyrics for, is about having arguments with people, but not really presenting any actual formal argument. This often leads to anger amongst the parties involved, and a seemingly endless flurry of words. As the chorus goes;

"A vortex of voices, an aimless fight. No one will win; the ones who are wrong and the ones who are right."

These types of arguments come in all different shapes and forms. From a disagreement between a couple about who should do the dishes, to an online argument about euthanasia, all of these things can lead to unfortunate break ups and hiccups in any type of relationship.

And even more, most of the time they accomplish nothing. So here's a song about it! Not your usual topic for Punk-Rock, but the metaphor of an argument as a storm makes it work quite well.
