TORN BETWEEN TRANCE AND EDM

Im in a situation where i produce trance for the love off it for me there is no better music genre. But after releasing so many tracks and done a few collabs and people remixing my music im getting to a point thinking im never going to earn anything from my music. In 5 years off releasing trance music i have never 100% honest earned any royalties . So im thinking to my self do i turn my back on what i love and go into edm music which i cant stand it has no heart in it but thinking i must be able to earn some royalties on it because its hugeeee. What id like is for people to listen to my music tell me what they think and help me make the decision of changing my style.
