HOUSE MUSIC Track Of The Day #5 - Scuba - Talk Torque

Welcome to my House Music Track of the Day series! Every day I will post a different house track, new or old, that's really got me feeling the groove. Serving you classic, old-school vibes, 90's/2000's primarily, with an emphasis on Deep House, but could be a little bit of everything.

If you follow me you know I do a weekly college radio house music show so I've spent the last two years finding the best of the best - I have a fantastic back catalogue of sickening tracks to share with you all!

Tonight we're taking it back to 2012 and getting real techno with it with Scuba - Talk Torque

This isn't my usual kinda jam but I wanted to do something a little different today. This is tech house on the more techno, older-school side, as opposed to a lot of the darker stuff I hear today. The repeating vocals and synths have some darker lows and bright, sea-spray highs that remind me of some older progressive house. The higher-pitched echo-y techno synth that comes in about halfway is such a classic sound and fondly recalls early techno. The bass in this one can certainly bounce and it's definitely a club track, but the euphoric highs make it ultimately very uplifting and give a pretty strong ecstasy vibe, especially with the "I'm your fantasy" vocal.

Also including this one in my mix this weekend so look forward to that. Close your eyes and let this one take you over!
