Fishbrain's Mixtape #2: Reggae Metal?

in #music8 years ago

Welcome to Fishbrain's mixtape, issue 2!

Each day has a soundtrack. I'm going to try and capture that by posting music that feels... right today. Hopefully other Steemers will find something they like. Remember to follow and check back every-day to be exposed to music you have likely never come across, and share in music you love, from various artists around the world across many different genre's.

Without further ado, here's todays track!

Skindred - Ninja

Read below for my thoughts on this track, why I chose it, and a little background on the song, artist, and album. Otherwise, plug-in and enjoy todays track!

If you ever played Need for Speed: Underground 2 you may have heard these guys blasting your speakers with "Nobody". In my first year of University these guys played at the Student Union venue. I missed out because I didn't know who Skindred were, until I google'd and found there the dudes who did that song. Luckily they played the following year so I got to see them. They're playing this month in my hometown so I'll be seeing them again, hell yeah!

You may be surprised to find that they're Welsh. I know I was.

And on that note I hope you enjoyed today's track, come back tomorrow for something new!

That's cool. Welcome to Steemit. Looks like you have a neat idea here. Hope it works out for you

Thanks @steevc :)

Have you found much success here? I absolutely love the possibilities of a decentralized web so I want to get in early before the world realizes they can be rewarded for their content without selling their soul.

A huge realization for me is how powerful user generated content is, and how important it is that we hold onto that power.

You can see I've made a bit here, but it takes time unless you get lucky. I see you have been commenting and that's a good way to get known. I think you are on the right path, so keep it up.

I think the Steemit technology is the next level of social site. It doesn't depend on advertising, but still manages to pay users. There are apps available, so you don't even need the web site, but I expect that will be the main portal for a while yet.

Agreed, just like building a reputation on any social network takes time. I'm not looking for a get rich quick scheme, I can imagine Steemit attracts that kind of attention quite a bit. I'm just interested in blockchain tech and the innovators in that space, and what that offers content creators. Steemit is a pioneer in that sense.

I can recommend setting some profile details (under Settings) and possibly doing an introduceyourself post to let people know who you are and what you are about.

I'm following you and will help out where I can. I don't have enough influence to make you much.

Yeah I've been meaning to do that.

Well thank you dude I appreciate the support, I'm following you back. :)
