Why I use microphone accessories to film
What started as an annoyingly sized microphone turned into a cheap way to improve the look of my videos.
For $5 or less you can buy the HOSA (or other cheap brand) universal fit, butterfly style, spring loaded microphone clip or as I like to call it, iPhone holder. I find this super useful for POV shots, birds eye angles, and quick posts to the Stories. You can even do live adjustments to your mic stand and mimic some professional cinema movement. While I still get plenty of use out of my GoPro, gone are the days of editing longer clips or even worse, juggling the phone and the thing I'm filming.
I'm probably not the first one to do this, and I've definitely not exhausted the capabilities. Let me know if you've done this before, what your favorite tricks are, or any other cheap ways to improve your videos and online presence.
