Let's Face Whatever's Coming

What's good steemians?!?! It's Sunday again so you know the deal. Every day of the Sun I am going to try and release a live studio version of a random track from the Freedom Movement/Wandering Monks pool. This track was produced around 2012. My mom gave me a bunch of old vinyl from my Grandmother's house. My grandparents had a lot of rag-time jazz with emphasis around the clarinet and the piano. I wanted to do a mash-up fusion album where I mixed music production sampling my grandparents old records and adding a Freedom Movement new school twist. From this endeavor came an ep I have yet to release called "Grandmas Classics." This jam is off that shelved album.

I am still feeling out my path on the Steemit forum. It's one thing to see the potential of something in front of you, it's a whole other thing to actively maximize your personal potential within said frameworks. I'm a Gemini and one of my many passions is communication. I often choose music as a medium for communication because of the transformative power it has shown me, time and time again, to be able to soften the reception of those who you intend to receive your message. What might create defensiveness, or offensiveness, in your audience is incredible transmutated into a most scrumptious dish that is now washed down with pleasure and even requests for second servings.

While I've started "vlogging" more recently, speaking much more matter of factly with my thoughts, feelings and/or opinions, music is still my default for social commentary. I appreciate that the Steemit community and forum seem very pliable and receptive to all of these various forms of self expression within cyber communities. And so I feel great testing the waters of each of these venues of networking and building with like minded Love-o-lutionaries. I may try more actual writing, or blogging. I may increase the amount of video vlogging and/or "podcasting" on forums like #dtube and #dsound. And of course I will continue to share and create old and new music for both pleasure, edutainment and simply as a vehicle to creatively share pieces of that which starts to reflect and define that which is McAD!!!

For now .. it's it and that's that. I hope you dig the tune. My music styles and influences are pretty all over the place. If you don't vibe with this weeks release, next weeks could likely be completely different, so please let me know which songs make you shake your rumpa, and which ones leave you walking away with a screw face (Jah forbid something rubs you that wrong lol).

It's a love revolution. This isn't about "identity politics," it isn't about shopping for "likes" and narcissistic ego-stroking, and it isn't about lip service and hypocritical judgments. This is about brainstorming positive solutions for a more peacefully healed, deeply complex, American culture.
