Anxiety disorders are widespread

The federal health monitoring estimates that more than 100 million Germans suffer from anxiety disorders and depression, which cost the country more than 10 billion € a year. The University of Cambridges and the University of Hertfordshire say that more than 8 million people in the UK suffer from anxiety disorders which cost England more than £7 billion a year. In America, more than 25 % of the entire population. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the number of people suffering from anxiety and depression has increased by more than 50% between 1990 and 2016, worldwide. In 1990, approximately 200 million people suffered from the symptoms in about 200 million people, an estimated 680 million today. The costs are skyrocketing and more and more people are suffering from anxiety, depression or phobias. Unfortunately, this is also due to the antidepressants, which usually worsen the symptoms rather than improve them.

Bad effects

The most common anxiety disorders are mortal fear, social phobias and depression. But anxiety disorders can do much more damage. Family, friends and the working environment often suffer from these conditions. Physical damage such as fatigue, cardiac insufficiency and reluctance are no less serious. Unfortunately, only one-third of people suffering from symptoms receive effective treatment such as yoga, meditation and cognitive therapy. The psychological pressure of modern life continues to rise steadily.

A "weightless" song

Some neuroscientists from the UK have managed to develop a song that can reduce anxiety disorders by up to 65%. According to the scientists, this song can slow down heart rate, lower blood pressure and prevent the release of stress hormones. The sounds of guitar, piano, nature and some electronic samples stimulate certain areas of the brain and influence emotions. Dr. David Lewis-Hodgson, one of the neuroscientists, says about the song:" The results of our study clearly show that this song provides the greatest recovery, more than ever before. Brain research has shown that music stimulates on a very deep level within the brain. Not only in the regions that are responsible for the processing of sound patterns, but also in the regions that are associated with emotions. The song was so effective that some people fell asleep immediately after hearing it. (More information)

The personal test

At the beginning I was very sceptical. A song that should reduce my everyday anxiety and make me sleep better? The song wasn't hard to find. You-Tube even has an incredibly long 10 hour version. First of all, I tried to understand what it's like to fall asleep. So off to bed, headphones in the ear, pleasant volume and close your eyes. In the first few minutes, as with many of us, the "evil" thoughts were at work. There was no sign of relaxation. But what happened then shocked me. After a short time the focus of my brain was on the sounds of the song. The thoughts faded and my eyes became heavier and heavier.

When I woke up the next morning, I still had the headphones in my ear and the song was still humming. Since then I hear this song every time before falling asleep. I must say that I have never been able to fall asleep well, my thoughts and worries have always been heard in solitude. So far so good. It helped you fall asleep. But what about fear? Everyone is scared or worried about something. I am often worried about the future and I'm pretty sure many of you are. Since I've been listening to this song on a regular basis, my future worries have diminished. I am more in the present and can enjoy my time much more.

conclusion

I think you have to get involved and put a little faith in the whole thing. This song helps me and I can only encourage you to try it. Even if there is no effect at the beginning, you should give it a chance. With a little patience and relaxation it will work someday.
