Composition Of Hip Hop Beats With Instrumentals # 16 - Ending It Off (FREE DOWNLOAD)
For this next composition of hip hop beats, I started off with an organ sound that was located in the VSTi sample tank. In the screenshot above, you can see that I laid down the notes to the main melody. If you try laying down these notes yourself, you can hear the melody for yourself. This sound is heard throughout the entire instrumental hip hop beat.
After the main melody was created, I started to add in a Bright Concert Piano KW sound that was located in the VSTi plugin Sample tank. As you can see in the above screenshot, I laid down the same main pattern as the main melody. You can hear this sound when the instrumental music starts to add a little build up at the 23 second mark. This piano gives the instrumental a dramatic build up before going calm again.
After I laid down the foundation sounds to get the instrumental music going, I then started to work on the drums for the beat. I like to keep my drum patterns simple because it allows the melody to flourish. Some of my beats have simple drum works and some have complicated drum patterns with a lot of break downs. It all depends on the type of vibe that I'm getting off the beat. Make sure to listen to what your instrumental music is telling you when you are creating it because music speaks to us and if you can't hear your own music that you are creating then you're going to have a tough time bonding with your own creation in my opinion.
I also manage to add some SQ Strings out of the VSTi plugin purity to add to the soulful vibe of the track. I think these strings did the instrumental justice! This sound is also one of my favorite sounds to use when creating an instrumental beat. I just like how cinematic it sounds. If you're keeping up with my post then you should know by now that I love cinematic type of sounds that make an instrumental sound theatrical. These are the only long string sound that you'll going to hear in this instrumental track.
The next sound that I incorporated into this instrumental was a sound called FAT Draken 2 out of the VSTi purity. This is the only synth sound that stands alone in the instrumental beat. This is the main synth sound that you will hear at 6 second mark in the hip hop rap beat, You can't miss it. This sound comes in right after the 2nd bar going into the 3rd bar with the other supporting sounds that creates the instrumental hip hop rap music beat!
The next sound that i pulled out of the sample tank VSTi is the Indian Flute and boy did this sound create an awesome vibe to this beat. I like how these flutes make it sound like the track sound like a story teller beat. This sound comes in with the Fat Draken Synth and the SQ Strings, you can't miss this sound because it is the only flute sound in the instrumental composition!
The next supporting sound is the Cute Plucked guitar out of the virtual studio technology, purity. This sound is what gives the instrumental it's sort of melody bounce and smoothness. This sound can be heard with the 3 previous sounds above. If you listen closely, it sounds like a harp that is playing in the background of the other sounds. Cool right?
You know I couldn't forget about the world famous SUB BASS from the VSTi plugin Hypersonic. It's not really world famous, I just said that because I'm always using this sub bass for most of my instrumental hip hop music beats or in other genres of instrumentals that I create. This bass line is basically going along with the melody of the beat, can you hear it? This bass is what gives the instrumental beat it's bump, very hard to miss if you have some good headphones or speakers in general.
