The Family Crest
Found a band called 'Family Crest' while browsing Youtube videos today. A band formed on 2008 with purpose to connect music with people on various platforms. Known as brainchild of their frontmen 'Liam McMormick' and co-founder 'John Steerlin'. Began with handouts of flyers, personal contacts, direct communication and other stream of media including Craiglist. After piloting around 100 peoples through their project and created musical media. The Co-Founders decided to continue their creations by forming a band.
Lineups
In addition to Liam McCormick (lead vocals, guitar) and John Seeterlin (bass), the band consists of Charlie Giesige (drums), Laura Bergmann (flute, percussion, vocals), George Samaan (trombone) Owen Sutter (violin, percussion), and Charly Akert (cello, percussion). Laura Bergmann, Owen Sutter, Charly Akert, and George Samaan are all classically trained (Bergmann, Sutter, Akert, Samaan, and Giesige hold degrees in music performance). Former core band members include Pat Elliott (drums), Nicole Calhoun (cello), Mike Rocha (trumpet), Jacob Steuer (drums), Sarah Dabby (viola, opera vocals), and Lucas Chen (cello).
Albums
First debut EP was released on Feb 2010 - Song From Valley Below, a year after they start to remixing it to deliver for commercial purpose on 2011.
On January 22, 2011, The Family Crest released a limited local release of their debut LP, The Village. The Village was funded in part by a successful fund campagin.
On September 18, 2012, the band announced their plans for a second full-length album, titled Beneath the Brine, by launching a second fund campaign

The family crest music is very deep, emotional but with a touch of generation Y influence. Its like hearing group of orchestra plus bands with exciting rift of indie and drumbeat. Its a great arts, hopefully they continue to release new album , one of my favorite songs:
