Been offline for a while due to some distractions. I will be touching song writing,and journey of song writing.
SONG WRITING simply put, is a combination of Melody in a written format.
It is important that you understand your style of music that best appeals to you.
THE JOURNEY OF SONG WRITING
1). INTRO : is the melodic, rhythmic or harmonic music with no words that builds up suspense for the listener, can also be known as instrumental.
2). VERSE : this is the message or information you need to pass across. A verse is a section of the song usually followed by the chorus. It has identical music lines but different lyrics, unlike the chorus.
It also creates the feeling for the chorus.
3). PRE CHORUS : this gets you ready for the chorus, it could sound almost like the chorus. It creates anticipation going into the chorus.
4). CHORUS : this is where you can find the real meaning of a song. Chorus usually have "HOOK LINES".
5). BRIDGE : it provides a peak moment or leads to a turning point in the song. It is also the best method of transposition, since the bridge is a good place to allow the music to move briefly to a new key.
6). CODA : this is the concluding section of a music, it gives the listener the feeling that the music is coming to an end.
