One word can simply summarize the image above... JOY

SO WHAT BUSINESS DOES EMOTIONS HAVE WITH MUSIC?

Take a minute to reflect on all the songs you have listened to, I am pretty sure that there were some that:

  • left you filled with emotions
  • made you miss a loved one
  • had you jumping and shaking your body
  • allowed you reflect on your life
  • left you with tears
  • comforted you when you needed solace
  • gave you a reason to live
    The list is quite endless

Music cannot exist without emotions.

It has a way of bringing out something in you that keeps you coming back to it.

Have you ever listened to that spoken word piece that sunk deep into your subconscious? It sure sounded as though the piece was tailor made for you. The guy or lady who had the stage, told your story. Alas !!! someone could see things from your perspective.

Maybe it's a song which you have given your muscles to, allowing it sing through your reflexes as you dance.

You would agree with me that, nobody ever really dances with a straight face.
The next time you want to dance, try to keep a straight face, let's see if those steps will flow, and even if they do, the moment would be short lived.

Music engages the body in ways that only can be explained in one word MADNESS

The Performers

I have often heard people say, "You have got to take something, to give you an egde when you are on stage." I think they are wrong. If you believe in your art, then I know that of a necessity, the required adrenaline will flow and course through your viens, so long as you surrender to your emotions.

Every singer knows that if you haven't started feeling your music, then your congregation is already lost.

The rap guys aren't left out. You always see them using their hands and body language to show you how deep they want to sink their bars into your soul.

The attitude

You definitely cannot deny this. You can literary taste the energy when you see someone tearing the walls of his heart, just because he wants you to know that the song his performing has latched into his soul.

If you are a group, then you can actually pass the same message as a team. We all already know that you are a team, but your emotional connection to your music can help us appreciate you more.

Share your music emotions with me. Maybe it's a video of you singing or just a write-up saying how much music has control over your emotions. I will love to read about it.

Have you met my band? My bro @the-mobz finally joined steemit. I will write a post about us later today.

Thanks guys.

I still remain your humble steemit musician @klynic

Nice piece right here! I don't know what life would look and feel like if music didn't exist!

TRUTH !!!

I am looking forward to a post about your band @klynic

okay man, I wouldn't fail to disappoint. lol

So true... Music does bring out different emotions.
Wish I could sing tho 😒😒
But that's way past #missionimpossible

i strongly doubt, you can learn to sing. I believe you have your shower moments, where it seems beyonce has got nothing on you. Culture it and we might yet make a singer out of you.

I have my shower moments. But I think even my shower gets angry sometimes at the rate of my off-keyness 😂😂 thank God it can't speak.
Maybe I can learn, maybe not... I even tried learning once, with no success. But I have come to accept my inability to sing and never attempt it in public.

you haven't met me, I can make a beyonce outta you.

the good thing about me and my relation with music is that emotions it brings out to me are just pure happiness, energy and motivation. The only ''sad'' feelings i may get cause of music is if i watch a movie and have a background music like that.

i know right? it's like these guys in charge of picking songs for movies have a plan to steal tears from our eyes. I feel like they always have me in mind.

Personally while I enjoy music I often feel like I don't have the same connection to it as so many others do but I suppose I might be a typical white man lacking rythm.

who says white-men lack rhythym. all you need is determination and a good teacher.

No doubt music has the ability to directly interact with our emotions and drives - like love. I guess that is why so many songs are about love and heartache.

One other ability is the power to unite people. It can be through the lyrics. Like in a protest song. But it can also be in the feeling of unity throughout the music itself.

If you ever have experienced a takeoff in a house or techno club you'll know what I mean. The feeling of the takeoff will occur before the it actually happens. People in the club will start to feel it just before it happens. Together they feel a sense of euphoria raising. It is a great experience if you are into that type of music!

Tnx for the nice post.

very true @idigit

Techno music is another episode of its own....
I also am into that type of music ... you could check out this song by my band http://tindeck.com/listen/uaazc

Nice. I enjoyed this post man.

glad you did bro. So you love music, yeah?

Great pictures to go with your narrative, @klynic! What you've said it really true, but this is something I've never considered before:

You would agree with me that, nobody ever really dances with a straight face. The next time you want to dance, try to keep a straight face, let's see if those steps will flow, and even if they do, the moment would be short lived.

I'd add, if you are dancing with a straight face you probably would rather not be dancing.

I've upvoted and resteemed this article as one of my daily post promotions for the @mitneb Curation Trail Project. It will be featured in the @mitneb Curation Trail Project Daily Report for 17 JAN 2018.

Cheers

wow, thank you so much
