My thoughts on Lil Wayne's new album

Lil Wayne released Tha Carter IV back in 2011, a very long 7 years ago. He released Tha Carter V on Sept. 28th and so far it has hit number 1 on the Top 100 Billboard list which signals a strong popularity.

This is just a short post containing my opinion on if the wait was worth it and which songs are my favorites. The album has 23 songs with several features. Below are the songs that I consider a MUST-LISTEN.

The album starts off with a audio clip of Lil Waynes mother talking about how proud she is of him and how much he loves her, I think that its very sweet he put that in there as a homage to his mom.

The 2nd song on the Album is named Don't Cry and it features vocals by now passed away rapper XXXTENTACION. The song is Lil Waynes way of paying respects to a young and upcoming artist. I especially like this song more than any other on the album.

The 7th song on the Album is a feature with Nicki Minaj (Who I am usually not a fan of) that details love between two people, where you follow a storyline where the world is ending yet their love knows no bounds.

The 10th song of the Album is named Open Letter, wherein Lil Wayne talks about how he deals with depression, how many times hes potentially died and how he is thankful he is still here. He also talks about hoping to instill good values in his children instead of greed. He also contemplates life and why he is on earth.

The 22nd song on the album doesn't really have a meaning, its just got a sweet 808 bassline that I enjoy.
