Choral Music in Benin City, Nigeria.
This is the Benin tribe of Nigeria and a video of what choral music from the tribe sounds like is in this link https://www.google.com.ng/url?q=https://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DqDRjl704Tvg&sa=U&ved=0ahUKEwjLoavNmIHZAhWLLVAKHb-nAdEQtwIICzAA&usg=AOvVaw1n0u30RnbdYAEB7vKUzmgK
The song was composed by Charles Onwubuya, one of the young composers I referred to in my previous. He is a musical genius and asides from being a choral composer, he's a professional music producer (I'm talking Hip Hop, Afrobeat and the likes).
So, you've seen the video and love the music but you're wondering what there were saying, well here's the lyrics and it translation in English.
Lyrics
Nohuaren Nohuaren Nohuaren
Arowa Oda nudazi noyaetinhia
Erinmwin vb'agbon vuon n'uyi rue
Urhomwen ogue vbehe no yo see
Afiangbe no be e no ree vbe nie Noyaemwan
Urhomwen ogue vbehe no yo see.
Translation
Holy Holy Holy
Lord God of host
Heaven and earth are full of your glory
Hosanna in the highest
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord
Hosanna in the highest
The video you've watched or will watch, lol (really, you need to watch the video and experience the beauty of the tribe more) was performed by the St Albert Choir of the University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria. A very harmonious family (not blood-related tho #smile) and they are one of the best University choirs in the country. Well, songs (either videos or audios) I'll put up for the steel community shall be mostly sung by them. So, expect more from them, from this tribes and other tribes in the country. If the creativity in their attire doesn't take your breath away (which I'm a 101% sure it would), then their music will. Just listen and enjoy. You ain't seen nothing yet, lol. But I meant that ooo.
Cheers!
Welcome
Thanks
