I am very glad to be part of this community!

You can generally blame @madebyjah for my presence here.

This is my first post here and I want to introduce myself.

And the big question is who am I?

I'm Mikela Archonti, I'm 25 years old and I'm from Greece.

I have a Degree of Professional Qualification in Graphic Arts and a BA in Music from the Technological Educational Institute of Epirus, School of Arts, Department of Traditional Music.

I'm trying to make my living by performing and teaching percussions.

I also spent a lot of time learning new things about music, because I compose my own music (stay tuned to find it out). The most important thing for me is to be influenced by different cultures and sounds.

I love traveling but I don't like tourism.

I really want to find out the real spirit of the city or country that I'm visiting. So I travel a lot, mostly in Greece and the neighboring countries for now.

There are so many beautiful places here to start with.

About blogging:

This is my first attempt to engage in blogging so be gentle!

I don't really know how to manage my content yet, but I have some ideas.

In this blog we will investigate music cultures from around the word but mostly music from the Eastern Mediterranean, the Balkans and the influences that we find in the crossroads of the many cultures that we meet in the world.

I do not nationalize music because it has no borders, it's international, music is a patchwork of human experiences, sensations and illusions.

We will also find out the small but beautiful spots in every city or country that we visit.

We will also see abandoned buildings and villages, forgotten things from another era!
