The pandemic never ends, BTS cancels world tour.
South Korean boy group BTS has decided to cancel their world tour which had previously been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The cancellation of BTS' world tour was conveyed directly by their agency, Big Hit Music, through a statement released on Weverse.
"Our company has been working hard to continue preparations for the 'BTS Map of the Soul Tour' as all fans have been waiting a long time with passion for this tour," said Big Hit Music.
"However, circumstances changed beyond our control so that it was difficult for us to continue the show at the scale and time that had been previously planned."
To note, BTS will initially carry out a world tour after releasing the fourth studio album titled "Map of the Soul: 7". The tour is scheduled to begin in Seoul in April 2020 and will feature performances in 18 countries including the United States, Japan and Germany.
However, in April 2020, BTS decided to postpone the tour indefinitely due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Regarding the cancellation of the world tour, Big Hit Music made a request and promised to make a new schedule in the near future.
"We are trying to prepare a schedule to be able to meet the expectations of fans. We will provide the latest notification as soon as possible," he said.
