A Rap about Fortnite (but it's actually about YouTube)
This is Dan Bull, a creative alternative rap artist who likes to rap about video games and essential online issues. Recently, he's been talking about YouTube issues because... let's be honest, the video platform has quite a few issues. They've changed their algorithms and implemented changes to the point where they show 'popular' videos that make money over content people want to see from those they've subscribed to. If you're not an avid YouTube viewer such as myself, then there is no real reason to watch this, unless you like all forms of rap!
Even if you don't like rap but enjoy YouTube, watch the video above and read the lyrics on screen. It's an accurate explanation about the problem with the platform these days. I am quite displeased with YouTube's way of displaying content, recently they've come up with an algorithm which displays a channel's highest viewed recent content in your subscription feed rather then just displaying all of their uploaded videos like it should! On Twitter, they've said it's "an optional choice" and an "experiment for selected beta testers", but it's already evident that it's effecting average people! This is annoying many, many YouTubers as this means much of their content won't even show up once uploaded, unless it conforms the mass popular trend (such as... Fornite)! This rap is Dan Bull's way of taking the piss in order to prove a point.
Ignoring all of YouTube's issues, check out Dan Bull! As I said, he's a creative artist who explores in varies forms of rap and using his music to speak volumes to people. I own a lot of his amazing music, including many original songs not based on games or problems with the internet. If you're a fan of rap music, subscribe to him to check his songs, but I am going to provide some links to his original albums via iTunes! I know from reading old Twitter comments that he is extremely proud of all his music, especially his original songs, but unfortunately they obtained the least amount of views on YouTube. His original work deserves some attention brought to it.
