Taylor Swift shocked the world when she revealed her overly dark new hit single Look What You Made Me Do during the VMA awards.

The song features a heavily orchestrated beat, which radiates a 1990s Tim Burton feel to it, mixed with dark overtones and anger . . . lots and lots of anger. We've grown accustomed to Swift sneaking a few jabs into her songs, mostly aimed at ex-lovers and previously failed relationships, but in Look What You Made Me Do, she's left the good girl gloves at home this time and instead has gone straight MMA style.

Multitudes of internet leaks have allegedly decoded the "Bad Blood" singer's not-so-subtle intentions to slam fellow celebrities like Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, and Katy Perry. It's certainly no secret that Swift has had ongoing public disputes with these three in particular, and she's finally saying "I've had enough of you" in her new song.

In the opening verse, Swift sings, "“I don’t like your little games, I don’t like your tilted stage", which is believed to be a slam towards Kanye West's "floating stage" from his 2016 world tour.

In the second verse, Swift continues, "The world goes on, another day, another drama drama, but not for me; all I think about is karma. I don’t trust nobody and nobody trusts me. I’ll be the actress starring in your bad dreams", which she proceeds to chant over and over.

During the bridge of the song, Taylor speaks into what sounds like a voicemail recording on a phone, uttering the words, "I'm sorry, the old Taylor can't come to the phone right now. Why? Because she's DEAD!" A truly dark turn indeed.

Two weeks prior to the VMA awards, Swift wiped her Twitter account clean of all previous postings, leaving millions of fans confused as well as concerned.

If you're hoping Taylor Swift's new album was going to be her traditional lighthearted, bubbly music style, you're going to be gravely disappointed. Looks like the 2006 curly-haired Swift with teardrops on her, now missing-in-action, guitar is truly "dead".

Swifts new album "Reputation" debuts in stores on November 10th.

So what do you think? Has Taylor Swift gone too far this time in trying to sneak digs into her lyrics, or is this a change her fans are willing to accept?
