In a Counterpoint class to explain how the Doric mode worked, I play the bass and harmony of So What on the piano. I remember being surprised to see how well this worked in jazz. And as always, as with many other musicians, Bach, Josquin des Prés, Wagner, etc. He invited us to listen to the music of Miles.

Estoy seguro que todos hemos tenido a un profesor que destaca entre los demás, que es más creativo, que su método es totalmente distinto, que es más apasionado y muchas veces que vive y ve las cosas desde una manera muy particular. En mi caso la ¡música!

El maestro Pire, https://www.instagram.com/amadeuspire/ Es una de esas personas que te incentivan de inmediato para mi, por que su manera de ver la música era distinta a la de otros profesores, era mucho más apasionada, cuando explicaba en las clases de Contrapunto o de Armonía cualquier contenido, siempre lo hacia con la misma pasión y gusto.

En una clase de Contrapunto para explicarnos como funcionaba el modo Dórico, toco en el piano el bajo y la armonía de So What. Recuerdo que me sorprendi al ver lo bien que funcionaba esto en el jazz. Y como siempre, al igual que con muchos otros músicos, Bach, Josquin des Prés, Wagner, etc. nos invitó a escuchar la música de Miles.
Este arreglo no existiría sin ese ejemplo, por lo que va dedicado al maestro Franklin Pire, Gracias por toda su sabiduría y sus consejos y por su música.

Este arreglo tiene variaciones constantes del tema de Miles tanto en armonía como en melodía, y su percusión es netamente venezolana.
