UE Boom 2 Review: Best Portable Bluetooth Speaker I've Ever Bought
So, the other day, I finally decided to purchase a new portable speaker to replace my old JBL Flip 3, which was lost while I was with a few of my buddies (rest in peace), and I settled on this baby right here: The UE Boom 2 from Logitech.
Let me just say... This baby is a legend for such a small speaker.
Full tone bass. Sound that fills the room you're in. Hell, it's loud enough for the whole house. There's nothing you can't love about the UE Boom 2. It's IPX7 waterproof, shock-resistant, and even stain resistant (unlike the JBL Flip 3). Pick this baby up on Groupon here for $85, which is roughly 20% off its regular price. (This sale ends in 22 hours)
This thing is ridiculous for a speaker its size. You can hear its bass loud and clear unlike many portable speakers, and it has an absolutely perfect design. There wasn't much they needed to change when they upgraded the original UE Boom, and this one just blows the competition out of the water.
I took this beast to my friend's house for a weekend and it lasted the entire time at full volume. It was probably on for about 15 hours total. It continues to amaze me with its incredible battery life, and has never died during use.
Here are my ratings on the speaker in the following categories.
Loudness: 4/5
Design: 5/5
Appearance: 5/5
Battery Life: 5/5
If you're looking for a portable bluetooth speaker, this baby is pretty much your best bet, unless you're willing to spend ridiculous amounts of money.
