Life On The Road ~ A Musician's Diary

The glorious few. There are only a few activity aides that really stand out for me. Most have an expression that is born of the daily grind that comes from working with seniors full time. I know it is a very demanding task and doing it day after day must take its toll. I don't judge or fault those who are barely holding it together in that job.

I'm just feeling blessed that I get to work with some who are nearly superhuman and maintain a truly sunny disposition with the residents. One that comes to mind was working during my show today and she is just such a treasure. She's dancing up an storm, hand dancing with everyone, kissing people on the forehead and putting smiles on every face in the room. These are the heroes that we need. People who bring that kind of smile to the faces of one of our most vulnerable sectors in health care are truly a blessing.
