Music Monday (feel free to add your own tracks)

The aim is simple, to banish those Monday blues with an eclectic range of music chosen by Steemit friends both old and new.

Every Monday I intend to post a music video (and a few words explaining my choice) I invite you to join me by doing same in the comments section below. As the forum (hopefully) grows my aim is that we begin to inspire our fellow Steemians to broaden their musical horizons by listening to the music that inspires us. The only thing I ask is that (where possible) every song we listen to is played nice and loudly on headphones or speakers in order that we capture its true essence.

As more Steemians join this venture there is also going to be the possibility of being rewarded for our musical tastes via the amount of upvotes each song receives. That said please never feel awkward about posting a track, a guilty pleasure or even your own musical ventures. I have an extremely wide range of musical interests but also understand that music like beauty is very much in the eye of the beholder. As such I may play my chosen song, but who am I to define what constitutes good music.

Hope everyone is safe, healthy and has enjoyed a good week? I had some trouble getting online tonight and the net seems really slow, thus I can imagine we're seeing a lot of traffic! Anyway, I shall keep this short but hopefully sweet. This week delved back into my hip-hop catalogue and gone for a track from 1988 that somehow manages to sound fresher and more relevant than most of the modern output. A master at his game, effortless. I hope you enjoy!

Had less than a minute to get my pick in under the 12:00 a.m. radar....lol. I forgot I was going to dedicate this song to @movingman this week, his desire would be freedom but they caught him...under the bridge?.....well, somewhere, the way things are right now it has to be rough on the free roamers.

Hey my friend, hope you've been keeping safe and well. I managed to catch his video and thought he made some excellent points and if my life circumstances were different I too would have opted for a life on the road, alas the days of living our lives as free as the tumbleweed is going to become increasingly difficult. An excellent song choice this week, one that is very apt ..not one I've heard before, but certainly one I'll listen to again. Thank you for the music @sunlit .. an inspired choice. :)

Did you see Bill Withers passed away yesterday of the covid virus, I just had tears streaming down my face as I had just mentioned in a comment of people singing Lean On Me during this crisis. It's just such a universal song that has carried many through decades of hardships and tragedy and for him to be fallen by one was just more than I could take at the moment.

Great track and I had no idea you were so clued up on supporting the immune system. Nice one!
I am sending two tracks from a local band I used to see in the city centre every Saturday afternoon in the 80s. Hope you enjoy.

Hello @ricia .. hope you've been keeping well. Glad you enjoyed my choice this week :) Yeah I've been into natural cures and medicine since I was a child, if you look at the bottom of that one there is a link to one of my first posts about it, plus I wrote another one about heart health. :)

Yeah I enjoyed your choices this week, nice 80's sound .. can't quite put my finger on it but some shades of Hughie Lewis & The News. Thank you for the music my friend .. and thank you for the introduction
