Music Monday (feel free to add your own music)

The aim is simple, to banish those Monday blues with an eclectic range of music chosen by Steemit friends both old and new.

Music Monday.jpg

Every Monday I intend to post a music video (and a few words explaining my choice) I invite you to join me by doing same in the comments section below. As the forum (hopefully) grows my aim is that we begin to inspire our fellow Steemians to broaden their musical horizons by listening to the music that inspires us. The only thing I ask is that (where possible) every song we listen to is played nice and loudly on headphones or speakers in order that we capture it’s true essence.

As more Steemians join this venture there is also going to be the possibility of being rewarded for our musical tastes via the amount of upvotes each song receives. That said please never feel awkward about posting a track, a guilty pleasure or even your own musical ventures. I have an extremely wide range of musical interests but also understand that music like beauty is very much in the eye of the beholder. As such I may play my chosen song, but who am I to define what constitutes good music.

Hey I hope everyone has enjoyed a great weekend! My choice this week is bringing home the rain by the Butchers & the Builders. Evoking memories of a forgotten age, for me this song is best played whilst sipping a little whisky and dancing around the campfire! With wildly inventive lyrics that are backed by brilliant musicians, this is a track that keeps pulling me back for another listen. I hope you enjoy

This isn't about making me Steem so please save your upvotes and reward the songs that you feel are worthy, although equally if my song stands out to you then I'd appreciate the vote. Any resteems would be much appreciated, all are invited and welcomed to join us in sharing and listening to a diverse range of music.

Well dude. This Monday is a lot more enjoyable than last, sitting here in the Floridian sun next to the pool listening to Audioslave and I spot your post, how perfect.
3/4 of RATM and Chris Cornell here with a slower piece that features both Cornell’s fantastic gravelly voice and Morello’s unique guitar sound.
Audioslave - Like a Stone.

Another brilliant choice my friend!! His voice is simply spellbinding and the guitar work on this is something else .. true masters at work!! Thank you for sharing this inspired and beautiful slice of musical genius @tremendospercy Hope you're having a fantastic holiday!!!

Loved you choice, great banjo. Hope you like my choice.

Brilliant choice @ricia really poignant and inventive lyrics, so much truth contained in one song. It's a shame how much of todays music has been drawn into the mainstream and watered down for mass consumption. I think there is a realisation regarding music and it's power to change the world .. the 60s are a perfect example of that and I don't feel it's a mistake they will allow to happen again. Thank you for the music my friend.

Beautiful @ricia. Heart wrenching. Thank you for sharing.

Enjoy

Further study of the frames will be rewarded....

Fantastic music!! I really enjoyed this, I can almost hear shades of Pink Floyd whilst at the same time they carve out a unique sound of their own. I will definitely be paying some very close attention to their back catalogue .. thank you for sharing such an inspired choice of music!!

Thank you for sharing this brilliant track @elizabethmurray I have so many memories wound up in this song and so I thank you for the trip down memory lane. A stone cold classic .. thank you for sharing!

Thank You ,its always been one of mine too,but since i discovered this version with valentino this is my favourite.Hope you liked valentino.

That pleased me ,as most people don't know ,who he is.I have always hated celebrities ,but i love valentino.

This is an old song by Elvis Presley, entitled "Can't Help Falling in Love". I really like this song, although this song has existed since I was not born yet, but every time I hear and sing this song, there is happiness that I can feel.

Hey @rial17 thank you for sharing this timeless classic .. in a thousand years they will still be playing and loving this beautiful track, for it's message is eternal. Thank you for the music my friend, I really enjoyed your choice this week!

Yupp! I agree with you. You're always welcome my friend @perceptualflaws :)

Ahhh music monday again..

I dig the song you picked, not something I typically pick, but still enjoyable from time to time. Definitely seems like a good campfire song.

My selection:

Sometimes you just can't beat Gramatik

Great choice my friend .. funnily enough I was only listening to Gramatik a few days back. I've always loved kicking back and listening to their smooth and funky sounds and this track is a testament to that fact. Do you ever listen to Nightmares on wax?

Really enjoyed your choice this week, thank you for the music @jakeybrown

haven't heard of them, I'll check it out!

Thanks, and thanks for hosting, always a fun time. I gotta go through some of these

Hey my friend .. what a track!! thank you for sharing. The audience is captivated .. as am I. Poignantly beautiful lyrics that just sweep you away and demand a second listen. I'll certainly be adding this to my playlist, thank you for sharing!! @crossroad

Yes - this was stunning. Going to check out more on youtube, thank you @crossroad :)

First song I ever learned on guitar...still a favorite.
Peace

Another inspired choice @onetruebrother and what a group they were! Correction .. supergroup!! This really is a beautiful track and one I haven't heard for a very long time. Thank you for the music @onetruebrother

Thanks for doing this! It may be Monday, but it feels like Ruby Tuesday! Can you imagine the lives these guys had at this time?

Hey my friend .. thank you for sharing this bonafide classic!! I love the Stones and I actually managed to catch them live a few years back, it's amazing how much energy Mick still has!! Have you seen the film stoned? .. definitely worth a watch. I don't think any modern bands can hope scale such lofty heights, the Stones were huge!! and they had the entire world at their feet .. indeed they lived the lives of 100 men and I fail to see how we will see their like again. Thanks for sharing @sequentialvibe

I have seen Stoned a few times. How many of us knew a time before the Rolling Stones? Not I!

You will need 25 minutes, hey come on, I am giving some value for money with this one. The late great BB King.

and my drawing of him. Cheers my friend.

Man, that's not just music, it's a journey!! Thank you for taking me for such a beautiful ride, I really enjoyed chilling out and listening to this .. give me music over the crap on TV any day of the week :D Another excellent choice my friend, I'm liking your style .. thank you for sharing!!

Brilliant picture my friend .. never knew you were an artist?

Yes I paint, I draw, I engineer electrically and, I make engines, I design cars, we all have the same ability as me, I am just not very good at this digital thing called the internet, I can do the html and stuff but I have no feeling for it, I prefer playing the sax on my own, the UK made me like that. Sort of sad but true, the government gave my/our country away.

A man of many talents :) .. I definitely don't have the ability to make engines lol

Have you done any articles on the Kalergi plan? I feel you may be the best man to cover this subject, as you write so eloquently.

Hey my friend, yes I was thinking about writing about it at some point .. I did write down a few thoughts on the deliberate migrant crisis that touched upon Kalergi .. I will expand upon it and share it here at some point.

Add to it the fact in Greece you get taxed more for having for than more child, which halves the population by default. I have more info if you need it, discord me bro.

You beat me to it, I had BB lined up for next week. Great drawing too!

aha you look forward to this on Mondays also then. Thanks for the compliment.
