GARBAGE IN GARBAGE OUT

The quality of what you take in determines the quality of what comes out.

Gluttony - consumption of food excessively.
Overeating may mean eating to one's satisfaction or may be I should call it covetousness especially on tasty foods containing sugar, high fats and calories. Overeating at a go may cause nausea, respiratory problems and mostly improper digestion.

I was opportuned to watch a documentary on a python that got its stomach torn out of its skin exposing the inside leading to its death when it tried to digest a large crocodile it devoured. This happened due to the little space available for the concentrated acid in the stomach that aid in digestion. In this case, it reacted with the walls of the stomach instead leading to its death.

Imagine your stomach bursting out of its home when you over eat. Not funny! :(
In advanced stages, gluttony may lead to high-cholesterol in the body, obesity and may likely link to the risk of having heart diseases.

Not drinking enough water -
About 70% of our body is made up of water. This shows how necessary water is to our body. Drinking clean and pure water at the right time helps to quench our thirst, act as a cooling mechanism for the internal body systems, aid in proper digestion of food.

When the body is deprived of adequate water, dehydration which may lead to heart burns or difficulty in breathing takes place, increase in accumulation of toxic waste in the body due to improper digestion and possibly a severe ulcer.

Too much of food additives and preservatives -
Most of our canned and industrial food products contains additives and preservatives which are made from chemicals that may be dangerous when absorbed into the bloodstream due to the substances they contain in them.

In this case, toxins in the blood increases, allergies may spring up, and worst of all, the body becomes more susceptible to cancer and neurological problems may arise.

Red meat ( beef, pork, mutton) and their processed produce (steak, sausage ) -
Though, consumption of red meat is helpful in providing the body with protein, iron and vitamin B12, they pose severe threats to the body due to their high iron content which can damage the brain and high saturated fat that leads to the increase in the blood cholesterol level which serves as a threat to the heart.

It is often said that vegetarians live longer than others. Vegetarian have lower risk of having heart diseases and cancers, being obese consuming very low or no saturated fat and cholesterol.

Though, many of the vegetarians lack iron (which is essential in the production of blood, and in transporting oxygen in the body) in the process.

So, the rule should be : Be more of a Vegetarian and less of a Meat-eater.

Over medication - needless use or overuse of medicines.
Taking too much at a go or a particular one frequently or shortening the intervals at which the medication is meant to be taken. It may also be due to taking different drugs with the same active ingredient i.e using two different drugs that can serve the same purpose at the same time.

The side effects of over medication are often severe causing allergies, constipation, and rise of other illnesses due to the quantity of the dose in the body.
