THE MUSLIM REFUGEES AND IMMIGRANTS AND THE RISE OF ANTI-ZIONISM IN EUROPE, Part III

Other intellectuals of Europe reveal their anti-Zionist attitudes and agenda by defending and legitimizing the attacks of the Muslims over the Jewish people by pointing that the Muslims are only doing what is right—that is, they take revenge on Israel by killing the Jewish people of Europe. About Mohammed Merah’s (a 23-year-old French Muslim of Algerian origin and a self-declared al-Qaeda member ) 2012 murder of three Jewish children and their teacher in Toulouse schoolyard, Enzo Traverso, a French intellectual who is a Professor in America, said: “these are abominable crimes and insane words that we cannot place into the long list of violent actions linked to exclusion and persecution, for those same violences strike those who commit such criminal acts, which are precisely their reaction to them.”

In other words, for Traverso, Merah’s murders are not anti-Semitic, but are legitimate actions of revenge on Israel’s actions towards the palestinian people. Moreover, in Traverso’s eyes, if there is any anti-Semitism in Europe, it is not because of the Muslim immigrants or refugees, but because of the Jewish people’s affiliation to the state of Israel and Zionism. According to Traverso’s logic, the Muslim immigrants and refugees in Europe cannot be held accountable for their anti-Semitism and for their crimes because they are marginalized—and a marginalized person only reacts to a hurt done to him/her (in this case the Jewish people and the state of Israel).

Traverso thus follows an anti-Semitic stereotype, pointing to the Jewish people and to Israel as oppressors of the feeble (in this case, the feeble are the palestinians). Or, as Bruno Chaouat says about Traverso’s logic: “Merah hated Jews because he was hated.” It looks like the Muslim nations use their people in Europe to fight a proxy war against Israel from countries like France. And people like Traverso point out that the new Jews of Europe are the Muslim people, because they are the ones marginalized as once were the Jewish people in Europe (but not anymore because now the state of Israel is oppressing the palestinians).

Of course, that’s just another form of anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism and indirectly a trivialization of the Shoah. Europe and the European Union turn a blind eye and ignore or deliberately downplay the rising epidemic of hate coming from the Muslim organizations.

Anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism are a worldview—a worldview in which the Jewish people and the state of Israel have no place. The truth is Europe has seen in the last 10-15 years an influx of millions of Muslim refugees and immigrants coming from countries in the Middle East—countries that are consummated by a virulent and aggressive anti-Zionism/anti-Semitism. And these refugees and immigrants bring their country’s spirit with them in Europe and that has caused Europe and the EU to become more anti-Zionist than ever.

The Muslim immigrants and refugees through their organizations and media continue to promote their anti-Israel agenda and in time they even entered within the EU. Of course, part of my proposed solution for reducing the anti-Zionism in Europe is to shut down all the Muslim organization who are affiliated with terrorist organizations like the Muslim Brotherhood and those that directly or indirectly nurture or promote a spirit of anti-Semitism/anti-Zionism.

I would even argue for the need for expulsion of those immigrants or refugees who get involved in promoting in any way an anti-Zionist agenda. And because anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism can be labeled as a sickness, I would propose that any Muslim immigrant or refugee that wants to make Europe their home, should go through a process of detoxification from anti-Zionism (many of them should also see a psychiatrist). They should go through a process of learning about the Holocaust, about anti-Semitism and about the Judeo-Christian values of Europe (as many as are still left on the continent). Moreover, they should take classes on anti-Semitism for at least a couple of years after they enter Europe. My suggestion is that no Muslim refugee or immigrants should get an European citizenship without going through this process.

I agree with Neil Kressel that “it would be best for Muslims to lead the fight against Jew-hatred in the Muslim world” but that seems like an impossible mission. In the meantime, Europe should have zero tolerance for anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism coming from any source, but especially from the Muslim refugees.

And people like Traverso should be held accountable by the European authorities for the spreading of anti-Zionism within the countries of Europe and the world. However, as long as the EU is in denial and will not call out the Muslim’s anti-Zionism by name, Europe will slowly return to another possible Holocaust.
