The BBC is the United Nations human rights chief Suu Cyi may be accused of genocide
United Nations Human Rights Council chief Jed Rad al-Hussein has said that the Rohingya persecution may bring allegations of future genocide against Myanmar state councilor Aung San Suu Kyi. According to him, the organization's position is clear, people who have been harsh persecution against Rohingya will face trial.
BBC Panorama confrontes Jed Rad al-Hussein in the Human Rights Council's Office in Geneva. His interview on Monday was supposed to be broadcast on Monday. In this, he said that the kind of military operation carried out there (Myanmar) was clear that it was decided from the highest level. As a result, if any court ruled in the future, massacre of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar would not have been surprising.
Earlier in the meeting of the Human Rights Council earlier this month, Jed said that in view of the serious violations of human rights, genocide can not be blown away. Because, there were systematically tortured. It is not the responsibility of the Human Rights Council to prove that genocide has happened. The court can do it. However, he demanded an international investigation into the torture of Rohingya. Jared told BBC Panorama, it would be difficult to prove the genocide. Because, if someone plans a genocide, then they do not do it on paper. The instructions are not issued in the document.
The head of the Human Rights Council said, Suu Kyi is limited to the army in Myanmar. But he could have tried at least to stop military torture. Even Suu Kyi did not use the word Rohingya. He said the reaction of the Myanmar authorities to the concerns of the international community is causing fear among them, the current crisis may be the beginning of something worse.
The Myanmar authorities claim that they started the operation after their security forces attacked the August 25 attack. But BBC Panorama said they collected evidence, preparations for repression on Rohingyas were being taken very long. Training and arms were given to local Buddhists. Army deployment in Rakhine state was extended two weeks before the attack on 10 August.
New homes have been floated
After the August 25 violence, 354 Rohingya villages in Rakhine state were partially or completely burned down. After analyzing photos from artificial satellites, Human Rights Watch (HRW), a US-based human rights organization, said that 40 villages were destroyed in the last October and November.
HRW says, artificial satellite proves that, on 23 November, when Bangladesh and Myanmar signed the MoU on the withdrawal of Rohingya, fire broke out in buildings in different villages. On 25th November, pictures of destruction of fire and house at Moe Mi Chang village near Rakhine's Maungdaw. Within the next week, four villages were destroyed in the building.C
Looking away and doing nothing is also a crime. When failing to judge the persecution of Rohingya, you're failing to use the responsibilities given to you. She should be persecuted in some way, in court or during the next elections.
