My mother the attic

in #mymom7 years ago

We saw her when it was time for bed, She had us raise ourselfs. Damn near. At 8 and 9 years old we already set our own alarms, got ready and walked ourselves to school. We had chores we had to get done after homework before tv. Everything seemed so normal, untill we overheard them one night, talking about who they prefer to buy from. The audacity. Two young girls maybe 10 and 11 living in a home with no power or cable but our parents are in the next room snorting lines. Our eyes opened to the real world. Change after change came after this. After our stepdad and our mother separated, our mother was in relationship with a married couple. After they booted the wife we ended up living at Motel 6 for 3years! My sister got out first, got to go with her dad and his soon to be ex! She was great dont get me wrong, took not only my sister in but wanted to take me in as well. My sister lived with them almost year and i was going to be moving in as well at the end of the summer. With all the picking up and dropping me off at the motel, my sister and my mom reassured their relationship and she was back with us in the motel before that summer ended. Her dad and the girl friend separated not to long after my sister moved back in with us. How could she want to come back to changing the ice in the ice cheast we used as a refrigerator everyday and wearing ear plugs to bed everynight? This was not what preteens should exposed to. But life went on. Finally at like 13, i left my sister to go live with my dad and his sister because my mothers boyfriend pushed me and put his hand to my throat when i was going to step in between him and my mother. That almost went to court but I believed a letter from my mother asking to drop the charges because she had found a lump in her breast..(my grandma died from breast cancer) so i did drop charges and she continued to choose that man over her daughters for many years to come blah blah blah shes still with him and hes still garbage
