CABALLITOS DE MAR
Los caballitos de mar son una de las especies que tienen un gran parecido (en la cabeza) a los caballos terrestres, su nombre cientifico es hippocampus (hippos), que significa caballo y (campus) que significa, moustro de mar.
Según el registro mundial de especies marinas, se han detectado 52 especies y todas en peligro de extincion, se alimentan de pequeños peces e invertebrados, la hembra deposita los huevos ya maduros en el vientre del macho, el macho es que incuba las crias por un periodo de 3 semanas.
