Fabulous article @sagescrub. I buy burdock root as a herb from one of the stallholders at our local organic farmers market. Mix it with dandelion roots and a few other Aussie herbs to make a so called coffee substitute ~ I don't really see it as a coffee replacement, but as a great tasting drink in its own right.

But I've never seen it actually growing. Your burdock look extraordinarily healthy ~ Would love to grow some now too. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

Glad to inspire you with burdock :) I do enjoy the roasted burdock root... haven't tried making that yet, perhaps in 2019! If you do grow it, I recommend trying the pallet box or tall raised bed method! It will save lots of digging and snapped roots at harvest time!
