Firstly, I will summarize dengue symptoms in which many of us have confusion and end up taking self-medications making the condition worse or some physicians may treat you by misdiagnosing it as a normal flue. dengue symptoms include fever but it is usually low grade, headache, muscle and joint pain and low number of platelets which is an alarming sign. sometimes it may progress into a hemorrhagic fever which may cause bleeding and ultimately it may lead to dengue shock syndrome.

WHO has reported about 100 million cases of dengue around the world every year. so finding some herbal supplement will help more people who suffered from dengue. a Papaya tree has good hopes for that.

Papaya has some scientifically known as 'Carica papaya' has undergone various research in healing dengue. NCBI (national center of biotechnology information) has found a significant increase in platelets by consuming papaya leaf extract. i.e. about 30 to 35% increase.

Papaya leaf juice extract is prepared by boiling the leaves and grinding them into juice. And the juice is consumed about 20 to 30 ml 2 to 3 times a day depending upon weight and age.

How does it help in Dengue fever?

Papaya has been used in ancient Indian medicine for many purposes including thrombocytopenia. i.e. the low number of platelets in the blood. Leaves contain large amounts of alkaloids, carpaine, and pseudocarpine which creates positive effects on the heart as well as on respiration. The papaya fruit, as well as all other parts of the plant, contain a milky juice in which an active principle known as papain is present. The leaves of papaya have been shown to contain many active components that can increase the total antioxidant power in the blood. such as papain, chymopapain, cystatin, tocopherol, ascorbic acid, flavonoids, cyanogenic glucosides, and glucosinolates.

I have seen many patients who were treated with papaya leaf juice extract along with symptomatic treatment given at hospital setup under medical observation and got fantastic results. very few of them needed platelets transfusion. this is the true power of mother nature. you can take papaya juice for thrombocytopenia under medical supervision for best results.
