The Danube - biggest river in Austria
The Danube is with a length of 2857 kilometres Europe's second-longest river and the longest in Austria. It flows through Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova and Ukraine before emptying into the Black Sea.
Near my hometown the blue Danube flows most of the time really softly and quiet as you can see in the next picture.
But sometimes, after a few heavy rainy days the calm Danube transformed into a monster ...
And destroys everything ...
But all in all, it's a nice place where I really like to stay - and the Danube is very useful, too.
Along the river are many hydroelectric power plants like in Mitterkirchen, Upper Austria.
I hope you like the post and find it interesting.
Stay tuned for further posts :)
Nice
Thx :)
