Asarum splendens flowers
Molto simile al ciclamino per via delle foglie cuoriformi, l'Asarum splendens è una rizomatosa perenne sempreverde che potrebbe esser facilmente inserita all'interno di un giardino. Predilige esposizioni a mezz' ombra, sottobosco, con terreno leggermente acido, fresco e drenante, ma anche abbastanza ricco di sostanza organica.
Come substrato in vaso ho deciso di utilizzare terra di campo, pomice e un pò di torba bionda per l'organico e acidità.
Originario dell' Asia, Cina, neve e gelo non sono temuti da questa pianta molto rustica.
La fioritura avviene verso febbraio - marzo ed i fiori si protraggono anche per molte settimane.
Non sono molto vistosi, ma se si sbircia tra le foglie si può godere di questo spettacolo.

Does this flower smell?
I thought it smelled like meat like some stapelia flowers, but it doesn't have a strong smell, always a pungent citrus
