The Sahara Desert is located across Northern Africa and is the largest hot desert, the third largest desert after the Arctic and Antarctic.

But it is completely different. The endless, stretching beyond the horizon sand with towering them dunes and dunes, flat as a table, plots salt marshes, rocky plateaus and immersed in the green oasis, debilitating heat of the day and biting cold night air, almost complete absence of moisture and violent floods during heavy rains . In the eastern part of the Sahara Desert across the river Nile, as the only source of life for the civilizations that lived along its shores in the past.

The name of this unique area owes nomadic Tuareg tribes living here since time immemorial. Translated from the local dialect "Sahara" means "desert area".

According to various sources the Sahara desert area is between 8.6 and 9.1 million km2. Because of its vast territory and the differences in climate and terrain conditions in its part of the desert are the following:

The average temperature in the Sahara desert in the summer can reach 50 degrees (maximum fixed at 57.8 degrees), the surface of the earth warms up to 70-80 degrees Celsius. In mountainous areas, the temperature can drop to -18 degrees, so in the winter during the night soil freezes, and occasionally even the snow falls.
