Ano nga ba ang sining?
What is art?
Ito ay isang gawain at proseso ng pag likha o pag buo ng isang produkto, bagay o aksyon na nagpapakita ng damdamin, kagandahan, systema at kuwento. Ang likha ng sining ay maaring maibahagi sa nakikita o biswal na sining, nadidinig o sa musika, pagsayaw, literatura, pagsusulat o sa pag arte tulad sa nakita natin sa mga pelikula o palabas.

Art is a process or an action that creates a certain product be it an object or a performance that expenses emotions, beauty, system, or a story. This can be categorized as visual, auditory like music, dancing, literature, writing, and acting like in movies that we see.

Maaari nating gamitin ang sining upang magpahiwatig ng ating kaisipan, damdamin at gamitin ito sa pag alaga ng ating kalikasan, ngunit alamin muna natin bakit ka aya aya ang sining sa atin

We can use art to express our thoughts and emotions and use it to take care of our environment but let us first know why art is so attractive or pleasant to us.

Bakit nga ba nakaka akit ang sining sa atin?

Why is art attractive to us?

Ang bawat likha ng sining ay may kwento. Kung ito ay isang larawan na nakikita natin, may mga elemento tayong nakikita at agad natin inuusisa kung ano ano yun. May nakikita tayong mga kulay at ritmo na gawa ng artista. May emosyon tayong nararamdaman at naiintindihan natin ang kwento at may ugnayan na nangyayari sa artwork na ito at sa tumitingin nito. Ito ay nakaka akit sa tao dahil sa ugnayang nagaganap. Bilang tao, natural sa atin na maghanap ng koneksyon sa mga bagay na naririnig at nakikita natin. Kapag ang tao naman ay naiintindihan at nakakapagpahiwatig ng sarili niya ay nasisiyahan siya. Kaya ang tao ay masaya at naaakit sa likha ng sining.

Each work of art has a story. If this was a picture on a wall, there are elements in it that we see and automatically decode or try to rationalize it. We see colors and rhythm made by the artist. We feel things, we see the story and we connect with it. It is attractive to us because of the connection we make with art. As humans, we are social creatures who find connections and meaning with everything we see or hear. When a person is understood and able to express himself it is normal to feel happy. We seek that and that is why art is attractive to us.

Maraming paraan sa pag gawa ng "art". Ang magandang tanong dito ay kung "Ano" ang mensahe at bakit. Ito ay isang pagkakataon na gamitin ito sa mga mabuting paraan, tulad ng pagpahiwatig at pagkuha pansin at palaganap ng kaalaman tungkol paghihirap na pinagdadaanan ng nga hayop at ng kalikasan dahil sa polusyon at sa pananakit na ginagawa ng tao sa mga hayop.

There are many ways to make art. But the big question is "what" is your message and why. This is a good opportunity to use this in a good way such as raising awareness regarding the increasingly difficult hardships that animals and the environment goes through because of pollution and animal cruelty.

Many animals are in danger

Karamihan sa mga hayop ngayon ay nasa panganib at may pagkataong maubos ang lahi nila dahil sa mga aktibidad ng mga tao. Kabilang na dito ang:

• Pangangaso o hunting
• Pagpatay at pananakit gawa ng mga tao na walang magawa sa buhay/ bilang libangan
• Mga kompanyang pumapatay ng hayop para makuha ang balahibo nila
• Kawalan ng tirahan o gubat dahil sa industriyalisasyon
• Pangangaso para makuha ang balat, o sungay ng isang hayop

Ang kalikasan naman natin ay unti unti nang nagigiba dahil sa:

• Polusyon dahil sa PLASTIC o plastic pollution - alam mo ba na araw araw tone-tonelada ang basura na itinatapon sa dagat araw araw? Karamihan dito ay mga supot, straw at mga bubog, net at bakal na nakaka matay sa mga hayop sa dagat at ibon na nakakakain sa kanila.
• Climate change o global warming ito ay ang pag init ng klima dulot ng pag gamit at pagsasayang ng koryente, tubig at fossil fuel. Kasama na dito ang exhaust o buga ng mga sasakyan at mga factory.
• Industriyalisasyon maraming gubat na nagsisilbing taga linis ng hangin dahil sa mga puno ay pinuputol para magpatayo ng mga bagong gusali o syudad, ito ay nakakasama sa kalikasan.

Many animals are in danger and the extinction rate is high right now because of the various harmful activities humans do

These activities are:

• Hunting or Trophy Hunting
• Animal Cruelty and Torture
• Fur Farms
• Habitat loss due to industrialization or businesses
• scales, leather, horn and ivory trade of exotic and endangered animals

Our environment as well is becoming more and more sick and is deteriorating because of:

• Plastic pollution - Many micro ecosystems, marine animals and birds die because of being entangled, eating or being poisoned by lethal chemicals plastics bring when we throw these away. Plastic straws, plastic bags, glass shards and small metal pieces harm these animals the most.
• Climate change/ global warming - This is the change of our climate, it is consistently growing hotter and this is not helping our condition. This affects animals and their habitat. Climate change is caused by the use and excessive waste of our natural resources such as electricity, water and fossil fuels. Car exhausts and smoke belched from factories are major contributors too.
• Industrialization - Many forests and trees are wiped away, these trees which clean and produce healthy air are gone. This does not help the environment at all.

Spread the message now, you can start with making art, and sharing with social media and at home!

Marami tayong pwede gawin para mabawasan ang climate change at para maitigil ang mga karahasan tungo sa mga hayop. Magsisimula ito sa iyo, sa tahanan, sa pamilya mo, sa mga kaibigan mo at sa mga kaya mong gawin - tulad ng sining

*There are many things we can do to reduce further damage of climate change and to stop the cruelty done to animals. You can start with YOU! at home, with the family, with your friends and to the things you can do- like art!

SA BAHAY
Maari kang tumulong unang una sa lahat
(1) wag gumamit ng plastic - kapag nasa mall, pwede gumamit ng eco bag, or malaking bag, tanggihan mo ang plastic! pwede ka ding gumamit ng stainless steel straws or bamboo straws para hindi ka gumamit ng plastic straw na nakaka pollute ng dagat. itago mo ang mga plastic bags sa bahay, tupiin at itabi sa isang bag o lalagyan upang magamit ito muli. Pwede mo ring gawing art ang mga plastic na naikolekta mo para hindi na ito maitapon sa basurahan, matatawag din natin itong recycling. Madalas sa dagat napupunta ang basura na itinatapon natin. Maawa po tayo sa kalikasan at wag na po mag tapon at gumamit ng plastic!

DONT USE PLASTICS - when at the mall, a simple eco-bag can do the job or any large bag you can carry, decline the use of that plastic bag. When going out, getting a drink, you can use a stainless steel straw or bamboo straw so your straws won't pollute and kill animals. Keep all your plastic bags folded in a container or a separate bag so you can recycle and reuse anytime. You can also create an art work made of plastic so it won't be thrown again.

(2) Gamitin ang Social Media - mas mabuti kapag alam mo ang mga balita tungkol sa kalikasan, pwede gamitin ang facebook, instagram, twitter at iba pang social media platform upang "maki-alam" sa mga panibagong balita, petisyon at mga organisasyon na sumusuporta sa mga pro- environment at anti animal cruelty orgs. Di kailangan gumastos para dito, simpleng pag share at pag sign sa isang website lang at makakatulong ka na!

Use social media - its better to be updated with current news about the condition of our environment. You can use facebook, instagram, twitter and other social media platforms to be in the know and also to share new news and new things you can do to help. Petitions are also widespread on instagram and select few websites available for you to sign. No need to spend, this online participation is enough!
