Making Staycation the Best Vacation at Ibabaw Mountain Resort

Here’s a little sneak peek of one of Cebu's coolest spots that offers a different kind of relaxation. Nestled in one of Liloan’s topmost elevations, Ibabaw Mountain Resort is approximately a two-hour drive from the city that has been providing locals and tourists the best staycation experience. What sets them apart from other resorts is that it has interesting resources and friendliest service. The staff always make sure to keep the place as clean as possible. They maintain a healthy surrounding with beautiful landscape and calm ambiance.

My 2-day stay in Ibabaw Mountain Resort gave me the most rejuvenating and unforgettable experience. I had indulged myself into a more relaxing and comforting way of living away from home. With its green environment and refreshing atmosphere, I was able to reconnect with nature. Truly the place is tranquil and serene.

For guests who want to stay overnight, they can choose any of the available accommodations suited to their preferences. They have a family house with complete amenities and facilities. It has a single bedroom, living room and mini kitchen with refrigerator. If one prefers a traditional abode and cozy environment, they have a native style hub called ‘Bahay Kubo’ that can accommodate 4 persons. It has a terrace for relaxation which is overlooking the lush green surroundings of the resort. There are also air-conditioned rooms good for 2 persons with wide veranda attached to each room.

Situated between the bar and native house lies the slightly sponge-shaped pool open for day use and night swimming. It can be used both adults and children with safety precautions or sort of reminder given to them before dipping into the water.

If you are not cooking or preparing your own dishes, you can just order at the restaurant or purchase drinks and beverages at the bar. Every Saturday, there is a live band performance at the resto where the guests can watch and chill around while enjoying the panoramic view of the nearby and distant towns discernible through the sparkling lights at night. Surrounding the place are native cottages and cabanas perfect for day use gatherings and picnics at reasonable rates.

How to get there?

The exact address of the resort is Purok Ka Canog, Sta. Cru, Liloan, Cebu. Finding the location can be easily traced using the Waze app or some directions from the locals. The distance is about 3 and a half kilometers from the national road and 15 minutes drive from the intersection at Yati, Liloan. From Yati’s wet market, drive up to San Vicente and further towards Brgy. Sta. Cruz. Opposite of Sta Cruz Brgy Hall, turn left then go further until you see a signage right at the entrance passage leading up to the resort.
