Historical scetch of a Rhino (1515)
This drawing looks very artistical influenced and unreal. As I also doubted the scetch, I researched the drawing and found that it is based on a real Rhino's Species: the indian Rhino (Rhinoceros unicornis).
This specific woodcut became popular in historic liturature after Albrecht Dürer cut ('scetched') it in 1515. It is known as Dürer's Rhinoceros.
I found this drawing while doing research for a project for my course by looking at historical ecosystems. With this amazing creature constantly grazing in my mind, I drew it while sitting in some of my classes.
