Baby Sea Iguanas in the Galapagos Islands
It's that time of year! The babies have hatched from their sandy nests and they're starting to go out and explore the world. And now we've got baby sea iguanas running around everywhere.
They're very cute.
And fairly clumsy.
They cluster together in groups or they run and hide. My son loves watching them. Here he is pointing at a group with his toe.
I was told by a naturalist guide that only one in forty make it to adulthood. But, once your big enough you pretty much have it made - like this guy - he spends most of his days chilling in our front yard.
