Jantho Nature Reserve
Jantho Nature Reserve area becomes a protected area for the local government of Nangroe Aceh Darussalam. Various Flora and Fauna live in this nature reserve. Best time of visit from April to August (Dry Season) to enjoy beautiful scenery / panorama.
Flora species that can be found include Pinus forest, Mampre, Jambu air, Gleum, Bremen, Sampang, Ara, Damar, Medang, Black wood, Beringin, Meranti, Kandis, Rambutan forest, Tampu, Ketapang, Medang ara, Lukup, Tampang, Lawang , Semiran, Anang, Jenarai, Kerakau, Rengen, Merbau.
While the diversity of fauna that can be found such as gibbons, Owa, Tiger branches, Forest Cats, Deer, Deer, Kancil, Napu, Elephant, Goat Forest, Bear, Pangolin, Kukang, Kuao. From Banda Aceh (Capital of NAD Province) is about 50 Km. From Jantho City (Capital of Aceh Besar District) to Nature Reserve Area about 9 km. we can get there Using private vehicles or public transportation.
