Aptly Named and a Pleasant Sight
Stumbled upon a fairely uncommon and beautiful plant named Butterfly Milkweed. In its scientific name; Asclepias Tuberosa.
The Monarch butterfly thrives and almost depends on this plant for its survival. In fact, the decline of the Monarch in Northern Illinois is in part due to the decline of milkweed here.
