Aiguilles rouges: lac Cornu
My boyfriend and I are from the nature, we appreciate it and always desire it greatly. This is why we try to keep close to the nature as much as we find time. We are lucky to live in Switzerland; a country surrounded and clinged by its magnificent nature.
It was almost the same time last year when we started hiking in Chamonix. Chamonix is a resort area at the base of Mont-blanc which is very close to Switzerland. From there, we started the hiking and aimed for lacs Noirs (2535m) However, on that day when we were at about 2250m, a strong wind and rain made us change our plans and orientations. Despite the complications, we had some fun finding a tiny cave (or shall I call it a hole?) to shelter us from the wind and the rain. The lake Cornu (2276m) is the the view from the cave where we were hiding. Once the weather condition looked better, we left the cave and aimed at another route in the direction of Argentiere (a village close to Chamonix) where we would spend the night. Although unexpected weather put us on a different path, the mountains did welcome us to its gorgeous landscape. I do recall, it was exactly in front of this waterfall where i sat on the little bridge and whispered to the nature and enjoyed the refreshing water.
The blue trace is somewhat the path we took, my boyfriend is the master of shortcuts (usually his shortcuts take longer than the normal route though). We continued further and walked down to Argentiere, but that is not depicted in the map.
I enjoy sharing our series of trips to the nature with you, my steemit friends, so be ready to receive my soon coming up future posts!!
