Photo Collection - Flowering Horse-chestnut
Horse-chestnut isn't edible like a chestnut, but the flowers are very extravagant.
Scientific name: Aesculus hippocastanum it's native to Anatolia and Greece, but is planted widely for its nice form and is used widely in landscaping. The nuts are used to play the children's game conkers, and are plentiful every fall.
