Of course this one of many things I like about TAZA Morocco the friouato cave the second biggest cave in the world, indeed it’s not a simple cave but a chasm that gives access to an underground network of caves.

The Friouato cave was discovered, for the first time, by a group of Moroccans and French in 1930. As a result, development work has made the cave a tourist destination flagship of the province of Taza.
Friouato in Berber means "the chasm of wind", a chasm 30 m in diameter, 271 m deep and which stretches for more than 3 km.
With more than 500 steps, the Friouato cave offers to visitors a unique underground universe. It is one of the largest caves in Africa that thrives on lakes, rivers, stalactites, clay wells and more.

The cave is accessible via an oblique tunnel leading to a small natural balcony that offers visitors a unique experience under the sunlight.
The Cave of Friouato is a wonderful educational and scientific environment for geologists, researchers, students and nature lovers. Indeed, it offers a trip to the center of the earth to discover the underground universe.
