Toronto Raptors finally won their first ever NBA Championship today. Kawhi Leonard dominated and with an unselfish team that know how to share the ball, they are your 2019 NBA Champions. From being a 14-1 underdog to being a 1-4 favorite once Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson got injured.
Kevin Durant came back for Game 5 and a tragic incident occurred where KD ruptured his achilles and will now miss a minimum of 10 months. I feel like the Warriors management pushed KD to play when he wasn't ready and told their Team Doctor's to clear KD to play as they were down 3-1 in the NBA Finals Series. KD is in his prime and he will miss 1 year of it and no player has come back to being themselves after a ruptured achilles injury. The Warriors showed guilt after it happened and I feel like they potentially ruined his career. But... only time will tell and we'll have to wait and see how KD plays after a year.
