RE: My response to Luke Stokes questions

in #ned5 years ago

The would depend on the established rules the community as a whole decided.

That's the magic sauce though. That's the trick. On a blockchain, that actually has to be decided and coded into the chain protocol. We actually have to be extremely specific to do that. What specifics could we come up with?

Well if one person gets more than one vote why even Vote? Isn't that a fake election?

Depends on how you decide vote weight. For example, should your gardener and your heart surgeon have the same vote weight when it comes to cutting you open to do surgery? Not everyone is an expert in every area and not everyone has the same skin in the game within every community.

That is what we have now here and in the world!

I'd argue we have violence ruling the world today. Yes, capital is part of that, but it's the governments that make the laws, regulations, and such. If we had voluntary interactions without threats of violence, capital (some call a dollar bill a "certificate of appreciation") would be far less of a problem, IMO. Especially if you consider voluntary, competing currencies (not what we have now which is controlled by banksters who fund wars)

There has to be a way to know who each account is and if it is a legit person.

This is what Voice on EOS is attempting to do, but many are pushing back citing privacy concerns. If everyone is known, that's also a powerful tool for dictators and central governments (similar to what is happening in China right now with their reputation score system).

Thanks for responding. I've been very busy lately, but I was able to get in a reply. :)

Im going to answer your questions and open the door for wisdom to speak here.

vote weight? experts? Wow Luke I am a grown man and dont need any experts to wade me through life. Only God has a greater vote weight in my life than any other person. My wife is second and then my children all other vote weight is the same.

Have you ever heard of the common law? Injured party criminal case. Broken contract civil case. That is it. All the rules you need. No special groups and separate rules for everyone. Everyone follows the same principal. Its not rocket science and dont need programmers to accomplish that.

Most crypto currencies only seem to be a more nefarious idea then most perceive. The fact that every transaction can be tracked is much worse that fiat! On a Scale you guys dont get. Even all the people that think they are anon. I am shaking my head and laughing and wondering if anyone has their brain connected completely,

Just wanted to say it seems that the blockchain tech is being developed by the PRC and US programmers are doing it for free practically. I just cant wrap my head on the stupidity that greed causes!
