Amigurumi Rikishi

Want to thank the following Amigurumi Artists for inspiring me to create my Amigurumi Rikishi. Sorry if i missed anyone, #needleworkmonday is a great resource!

@Inici-arte
@danmaruschak
@xeliram
@romeskie
@amigurumi
@xorexman
@yhernanpalac

I’m a huge fan of Grand Sumo and so fortunate to get the opportunity to watch the highlights each Basho. I created this guy and entered it into the art exhibit at work.

Wow I have never seen a Sumo fight live. It is very uncommon here, so I know near to nothing about the rules. Your little amigurumi looks super cute. I hope it will get some company soon.

You’re the sweetest! ☺️
I’ve never been to a Sumo match “in real life”, but absolutely love watching on the TV 📺. It’s really amazing on an Anthropological level as i am always learning something about Japanese culture and even a bit of the language.
Thanks for the upvote 😁 @neumannsalva

Hey @oceanmoon! 👋🏽

I’m so glad to see you have been inspired within the @needleworkmonday community! Nice work on your Sumo guy, he’s awesome! I love the hair. Is that yarn or thread that you used?

Thanks @crosheille for you kind words and your hard work with the #needlework community 😁 the little guy is crocheted with worsted weight yarn, even the hair. I filled it with extra yarn and his belly is batting. He’s soft and squishy 🧡🧡🧡☺️.
