DIY Crochet Phone BagsteemCreated with Sketch.

Ever get annoyed at the lack of pockets on ladies pants nowadays? Sometimes all you need to carry with you is your phone, keys and some cash. Having small kids, I've often needed just my phone on me while on a walk or at the park and no pockets. I decided it was time to make a portable pocket and here it is.

Imgur

A quick and easy crochet project that I made up as I went along, measuring my phone as a guide and the strap across my body.

Imgur

I originally actually made the strap way to long because I didn't account for the weight of the phone stretching the strap when it hung so I had to sew part of the strap to itself by folding it over a couple of inches.

Imgur

This turned out to be a happy accident because it created some padding for where the strap goes over my shoulder.

I crocheted an extra triangle to the one edge to create a flap to secure the phone in the pouch and added a nice big red button for some contrast and interest.

Fits like a glove and its perfect for my car key card and phone and some cash if I need it. It also works great for listening to audio books while washing the dishes :D

Have a wonderful needlework Monday all!

Simple but efficient :) I crocheted a sheath for my ebook reader with some squishy yarn - I wanted it to be cushioned when it's in my bag with other things.

oooh awesome! Do you have a post about it - I'd love to see it!

Here it is :)

Oh that’s beautiful! I love the color changing wool and what do you call that stitch it’s beautiful 😍

Cute + Functional = Win Win!! 😄

I love it! I have definitely been in that place before where I didn’t want to carry my bulky purse but needed something just for my phone, keys, money and ID. If I have the stroller with me I just normally put them in the little holder but that’s not always the case. This is very cute and handy...kudos to you for making this free style with no pattern. I like the added button for contrast!

Great pictures and thanks for sharing with us this week!!!

Thank you @crosheille for the awesome comment! I’m glad you like it!!! 💖

This is so clever! Especially as I currently try to use @actifit and constantly forget my phone - so, no steps for me, if the phone is resting on a chair :-DD The little bag would prevetn me forgetting the phone ... hopefully
Thank you for sharing this idea :-D

Heehee! Hopefully it makes you achieve your step goals! 😊

Dang your photos look just as good as the bag itself! Great shots, and I really like the editing on the first one. Looks like it would fit right in on Etsy or someplace like that!

Thank you so much 😊

This is great and just what I need for gardening. If I put the phone in my jeans pocket I end up ringing people when I start bending. If I put it in any other pocket, it always falls out when I start bending. This little holster will be excellent and finally I can listen to the radio, too. Thank you for sharing.

Ah I hear you! I also like to listen to some music or an audio book while I work in the garden 💖

What a really neat idea, especially when it is so difficult to find clothes with pockets. I may have to get my roommate to do one of these for me since he's the crochet master in this house XD

Heehee! She’ll be able to do it quickly in front of the Telly one evening ;)

Agree with you on bad clothing design of late, no pockets, I just don't buy. Being inventive for yourself a great idea, trendy @wildwanderer

Heehee! Thank you 😊
