Hello dear members of all communities especially to the @needleworkmonday community. Today I bring you a design of a black bag made with tin ring, a larger design than the previous one: Coin purse woven in nylon thread. Both designs are made by my mom Marleny Llanes to whom we owe the credit. This last design was a request they made for an older woman.

For the elaboration of the bag the following materials were used

Materials

  • Black nylon thread

  • Scissors

  • 402 can rings

  • Closing

  • Lining

Bag Making

We started weaving the template, making 60 chains, we turn and make a chain to make low point, at the end of the low point we turn and make a chain, we repeat the same procedure until turn eight (8). The template was made rectangular, there are oval, but my mom likes the rectangular design.

Afterwards, the can rings are placed and 9 turns are made with the 402 can rings, look at the images. Two can rings are intercepted and joined with low dots.

In the image you can see the process of joining the rings, in the widest part of the ring is made two low points, then take the other ring placing the widest part above the first ring that has the narrowest hole and are tied with six low points, and in the other hole of the second ring is made two low points, closing with low point.

After finishing the nine (9) laps, six chains are made and it is joined at the point where the cans are intercepted with half a point. At the end of lap nine, the next lap (10) we perform low points on each base point until the end of the lap. From the tenth lap, we do several laps with low point and you give the height you want.

What a fantastic idea to work with discarded can rings. And such a thin yarn... this is real dedication to crafting. The purse came out wonderfully. Thank you for sharing this <3
