NTA Eligibility Criteria of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2019

in #neet6 years ago

As per the NEET 2019 eligibility criteria, a candidate is required to complete 17 years of age either at the time of admission or else on or before December 31, 2019. The candidates belonging to unreserved category must not be more than 25 years of age to fulfil the NEET 2019 eligibility criteria for February session. The reserved category and PwD candidates must not be more than 30 years of age. The upper age limit norm of NEET has been challenged in the Supreme Court but no final decision has been taken on the same. CBSE, the conducting body of NEET 2018, had reintroduced the upper age limit criteria of 25 years for the unreserved candidates and 30 years for reserved category candidates but this was later temporarily removed as per the Delhi High Court's verdict on April 26, 2018. As a result, the unreserved category candidates with age more than 25 years were allowed to take the test. However, the age criteria was upheld by the Delhi High Court in the judgement passed on May 11, 2018.
