Digitalist Number 4 - Article I - End Users (Continued)

Section 3 - It is the duty of the End User to know and understand any and all fee structures and schedules for every Platform or Internet Service Provider they are using. The End User understands and acknowledges that failure to remit payment may result in punitive action from the Platform or Internet Service Provider.   This is similar to Section 2. If you let your credit card expire or don’t have enough money in your bank account to pay the full amount on time, then you’re the only one at fault when your account gets shut down.   Section 4 - An End User shall be considered ideologically, politically, religiously, philosophically and in all other ways neutral, and therefore considered a Detached Party, except when declaring any form of bias.   In today’s climate of card checking and def con 1 level vitriol, I think it’s important to give people the benefit of the doubt. Don’t assume to know where someone stands on an issue until you’ve seen them declare it themselves.   Now, the reason I used the term “Detached Party” instead of “Neutral Party” is that is seems to be more accurate. They have similar meanings, but neutral has a connotation of being indifferent, where detached describes the Party as separate from the issue. They may not actually be detached from the issue at hand, but until they have declared themselves to be attached, either physically, mentally, socially, emotionally or otherwise, they should be treated as though they’re not involved. That means that if they don’t know about an issue, it’s not right to attack them for having no knowledge or opinion. It also means that if you are a Detached Party, then it’s probably best to stay out of an issue, otherwise you are no longer detached. Simply put, a Detached Party stays out of the issue, and attached Parties can’t coerce a Detached Party to get involved.
