The wind hums and whirls desperately Looking for honey under the leaves. Gray sparrow straight out of a puddle The warm sun is drinking. The cat on the porch - squints in understanding: Summer has burnt to the ground. The streets have become thoughtfully bright. Apparently autumn has come.
