RESPONSIBILITIES

In the wake of the recent school shooting in Florida and Kentucky there is much controversary over gun control.

It is not the gun's fault. The gun cannot load nor fire itself. So many of these shooters are claiming that they wanted attention and fame. I BLAME THE PARENTS AND GUARDIANS!

Parents you shouls know what your kids are doing. You should know their friends, if they are in gangs, if they are bullies at school or elsewhere. Your underage kids have no right to privacy from a parent. Put down your electronic devices and get involved in your kid's life. Teach them right from wrong. Even if you don't believe in God you still have a responsibility to teach your children right from wrong. Teach them compassion and respect.

I think the laws need to be changed. Make the parents (both) whether married or divorced share in the punishment with their kids when they break the law or even when caught being a bullie. It is the parent's job to teach their kids so if the parent's share in the punishment too maybe more parents will get involved in what their children are doing, going and knowing their friends. WAKE UP PEOPLE! WAKE UP PARENTS...it's your fault for not paying attention to your offspring. STOP BLAMING GUNS FOR YOUR IRRESPONSIBLE PARENTING!

As adults we can get overwhemled with our jobs and trying to keep the bills paid and food on the table but our FIRST RESPONSIBILITY is to our kids and their development both emotionally and mentally. Jobs are important but being there for our kids all around health is more important. It's not easy dividing our time between our financial and parental duties but it's worth it in the long run when it could potentially save lives in the future.
All these school shooters wanted attention, attention that was neglected at home. That is why I hold the parents responsible. Yes I am a father but guess what I know all my son's friends. I know exactly what he is doing on line, who he is talking to, where he goes and what he does. I have taught him by example how to have compassion and respect for others. I own and opperate my own business but when my son needs me I am there. My company comes second to my son. There are times I don't know how I will pay the next bill but still I will stop work if my son needs to talk or has a question. STOP USING WORK AND BILLS AS AN EXCUSE TO NOT BE THERE FOR YOUR CHILDREN! I don't care if you are drowning in debt if you fooled around and ended up with a child it is YOUR responsibility to teach them right from wrong. Even if your parents were not there for you you can still be there for your kids. It may be tough but your first job is to be there for your kids. No law ever created will be able to stop these violent crimes against innocent people and children but your parenting skills can change the future. YOU CAN STOP THE VIOLENCE in the future by simply being the caring parent that you should have been all a long. Don't try to be their friend be a parent instead. Give them rules and teach them that there are consequences for their actions.

Ok, I had my say. My rant is over. I hope you parents out there take some of my words to heart and WAKE UP!
